I am an urban, social and political geographer and researcher (Postdoc) at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. I received my PhD in Geography from the Goethe-Universität Frankfurt and hold a Diploma in Political Sciences from Freie Universität Berlin. I finished my Habilitation at the Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg.
My overarching interest concerns the interrelations of power, space and technology. My research recently centered on technopolitics - that is the political performance of technologies and on data-based decision making (e.g. here: Infrastrukturen der Biosicherheit). My work builds on theories and methodologies in governmentality, STS, political ecology and critical theory.
I work at the Geography Department, Humboldt-University zu Berlin. I contribute to the Cluster Society, working group Cultural- and Social Geography (Head: Prof. Dr. Ilse Helbrecht).
